Island, the catch immediately undergoes quality inspection and hand-grading by experienced staff before re-tanking in the Kingscote factory tanking facility. The lobster remains in the tanking facilities, monitored daily by experienced staff, until they are packed for shipment

All Ferguson’s fishing vessels are Clean Green accredited.
The Clean Green program is a training & accreditation system providing “pot to plate” environmental, food & workplace safety standards with independently 3rd party auditing of practices.
The Southern Rock Lobster industry’s highly successful “Clean Green” environmental management program, has a won a United Nations 2005 World Environment Day Award – in the Business Enterprise Awards section of the Environmental Best Practice Program.
Believed to be a world first for the Rock Lobster industry, the Clean Green program has been enthusiastically embraced by licence holders in South Australia, Victoria and
Tasmania , with already 238 industry members trained and 133 vessels independently certified as “Clean & Green”.
