Vivonne Bay

A modern timber pole framed home decorated to allow the dweller to revel in the beach atmosphere with white timber and natural floorboards. The Island Beach-House is nestled into sand dunes surrounded by natural flora and overlooking miles of unspoilt coastline. The pristine beach of Vivonne Bay is only a minute walk away. Strategically placed, the Island Beach-House is in the hub of Kangaroo Island ’s world famous attractions including -

The distance from Penneshaw (Kangaroo Island Sealink Drop off point) to Vivonne Bay is approximately 100kms. To do this distance safely we suggest allowing 80 – 90 minutes.

Travel via the Kingscote airport will ensure bitumen roads to Vivonne Bay . The road from the Vivonne Bay store to the beach-house is approx 3 kms.

- Sleeps 8 people. 2 Queenszied bedrooms, 1 bedroom with 2 double bunks. All linen supplied (including sheets, quilt covers, towels (not beach towels), fannels, tea-towels & pillow cases).
- Fully equipped modern kitchen with electric hotplate and oven, microwave, refrigerator and freezer, electric frypan, all pots, cooking utensils, cutlery, crockery and glasses
- Food - food can be bought with you or purchased at the Vivonne Bay store.  The Beach-House has a fully stocked pantry for emergency use - we just ask that you replace what you use for the next guests.
- Bathroom with shower, toilet, basin and wash trough.  Soap and toilet paper supplied.
- Open plan lounge & dining area surrounded by bay windows opening out onto the balcony.  2 Sofa's, 2 dining tables and extensively stocked library.
- PETS - due to the native wildlife pets are not allowed
- WATER - the Beach House relies on rainwater - so please use sparingly, especially during summer

The Island Beach-House is designed as a complete getaway.  You will not find a television.  We do provide a radio with CD facilities.  A telephone is available, a phone card is needed to use the facilities.

 Seal Bay is 13 kilometres from Vivonne Bay and regular tours are conducted for anyone wishing to see these amazing creatures in their natural habitat.

Cape De Coedic Lighthouse is perched on the edge of some of the most breathtaking landscape that many visitors say they have ever seen.  To see this landmark allow 1/2 day for travelling and walking time.

 The Little Sahara sand dunes are located approx 10 minutes from Vivonne Bay and both small and large children alike have enjoyed body boarding down the dunes.
